2. How long does a typical business efficiency/growth consultation project last?
The duration varies from project to project. For a typical business efficiency project, Andrew will spend the first 60 days collecting data, conducting interviews and spending several days on site. A written analysis will then be delivered after a 30 day data assimilation period. Following the delivery of his recommendations, Andrew will be available for ongoing consulting and implementation assistance for another 90 days. The total retainer period is 180 days.
With projects requiring more intensive involvement, multiple on site visits and/or visits of a longer duration may be needed. Additional independently practicing efficiency consultants and specialty consultants may also be integrated into the project with Andrew taking the role of lead consultant and project manager.

5. How quickly can you provide me with a proposal?
Our approach is tailored specifically to your company. We believe that each client’s unique situation requires more than just a prepackaged strategy. Before the cost can be established, our first priority will be carefully assessing your needs & goals for the project. If you can provide us with the information we need, Andrew will have all the details, including investment options to you within 24 hours.

6. Do you charge hourly or daily rates for your efficiency consulting?
We prefer to charge by the project, which we believe is the fairest and most equitable arrangement for each client.
For certain situations, we may offer retainer styled options (for ongoing projects with a 6 month minimum commitment) as well as à la carte phone/email consulting and business advisory services.

7. I like to control my costs with hourly or daily rates. What benefits do project based fees give me?
- There is never a “meter running” with the pressure to “find something for the consultant to do” as long as the time meter is ticking.
- The client does not have to make an investment decision every time the client would like the consultant’s help.
- The client’s employees can freely email or call on the consultant without worrying about increasing costs or having to go to the boss for approval each time.
- The consultant can take on more work within the project’s scope without the risk of the client assuming the consultant is trying to increase his billable hours.
- The best interests of the consultant are to finish the project quickly, not to stretch it out or fill previously projected time (even though it is no longer necessary to spend that time).
- There is a fixed cap on the investment right from the outset.
8. How much on average does an efficiency consulting analysis cost for a small to mid sized business?
Costs may vary significantly from project to project based on numerous factors including project complexity, the amount of on-site time required, and travel time. Some projects may require on-site visits by multiple staff and field specialists. We can include within the quote the projected cost of lodging, airfare, rental vehicles and meals during on-site visits or we can provide those costs as a separate item outside of the proposal. Please contact us to obtain a proposal specifically tailored to your company’s project.
If you have a predetermined budget allocated toward a business analysis, please be sure to let us know, and we may be able to tailor an analysis within the established constraints of your budget.
