Thanks for the comment, Derya. Yes, checking your email 3 times a day may work for some, while for others (based on their job and responsibilities), they could quickly lose clients or get fired! Much of making business efficiency really work for you comes down to tailoring it to your individual situation.

thanks for the post, great tips!

checking mails 3 times a day is difficult at the beginning, but once you and your frequent mail senders get used to it, this really jelps.
other good idea from the post is to sleep over the draft email and send the next day. it definetely helps you to move out your ‘mood’, and probably rephrase your words next day…

Nice tips. In today’s competitive market, being able to offer an enticing PTO package can get you a serious leg up on the competition. As high-level players jump from company to company, they often don’t have time to accrue much PTO and may want to start off at a higher level than an employer normally would accommodate.

In our small law office, the middle-aged and older employees seem to be more comfortable with professional attire, while the younger set would rather be “comfortable” instead of dressing for success.

Your article gives valid points from both ends of the “dressing room” and I look forward to using your advice when we, once again, debate our company dress code!

Reading this article probably just solved my situation. As a college student with a learning disability, It’s been hard to manage my school work not alone my job and friends. Feeling smothered and tired all the time from lack of sleep isn’t working. Taking in the tips from this article up above, I don’t see how this would hurt me at all. Can’t wait to try it ;-)

Nice article. Even though I am a lot older it is good to know there is the information out there for the younger generation to grab onto so they can organize their younger years to be carried into the older years. This is something that we all had to learn on our own.

Excellent advise. My pediatrician’s office has recently replaced a phone tree with a live person. It is comforting to talk with a human when calling with concerns regarding your children! Training and supplying scripted examples are key to successful phone skills. Such skills serve one well also when receiving calls at home!

This article, although written for a younger age bracket, speaks to many of us in our child rearing years who did not grown up in the world of advanced technology. The author is correct! I myself have now become a more efficient task manager by utilizing newer technology and writing a good old fashion list and defining my goals.
